Margaret Ritchie was born in 1923 and gained her MA from the University of Glasgow in 1945 . She joined the University of Glasgow as a member of staff in 1964, as a research assistant in the Social Study department. She became a lecturer in 1967, and from 1971 she was a lecturer in the newly formed department of Social Administration and Social Work. Margaret's area of specialisation was focused upon criminology. Miss Ritchie left the department in 1976 . From the guide to the Papers...

These are Economic History lecture notes, possibly a lecturer's own notes. There are 6 notebooks within a slipcase. On the slipcase is written in pencil "Dr James Cunnison? Alec Macfie?" The identification of the author of these notes is not certain. There is one letter within volume 6 addressed to Dr Cunnison, but without a comparison of handwriting it has not possible to assign these notes to Dr Cunnison. References within the notes would indicate that they were written after 1924. ...
